Understanding Understanding

The purpose of this assignment was to raise awareness of the multitude of misconceptions that are students bring into the classroom. Being able to identify the misconceptions that students hold on to, and work toward providing evidence to change their belief system is an important component of teaching.

In groups of 4, we investigated the misconception related to fruit and vegetable classification.
